Bank of Ghana, on 1 August 2018, revoked the banking licenses of uniBank, Beige, Royal, Sovereign and Construction Banks, and on the same day placed the banks in receivership.

Nii Amanor Dodoo, who was appointed the Receiver for the Banks is required by the Banks and specialized Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930) to oversee the orderly winding down of the Banks by recovering debts owed to the Bank and settling liabilities owed by the Banks, amongst other responsibilities.

Liquidation of Harborough

The shareholders of Harborough, by a special resolution placed the company in private liquidation and appointed Nii Amanor Dodoo as the Private Liquidator to wind down the company’s affairs in accordance with Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).
