Nii Amanor Dodoo

Prior to becoming the CEO of PMO Ghana Limited, Nii Amanor Dodoo was the Senior Partner of KPMG in Ghana. He has over 40 years of professional services experience, working in multi-cultural environments across West Africa, including Nigeria. He has served clients across different sectors and led several important national assignments in Ghana. Amanor has breadth and depth of experience in banking, insurance, public sector, energy and natural resources and consumer markets. He has served key regulatory and public institutions such as Bank of Ghana and the Supreme Court of Ghana. He is a chartered accountant and a member of Institutes of Chartered Accountants in Ghana and Nigeria.

Amanor has undertaken several complex national assignments. He is an expert in insolvency, receivership, restructuring and liquidation services. He is currently serving as the Bank of Ghana Receiver for five banks under receivership. He led the KPMG team in managing uniBank during the period when uniBank was placed under Official Administration under Bank of Ghana’s supervision.

Amanor acted as the Receiver for Satellite Goldfields and Tema Osono, during periods when they were placed in receivership, which facilitated their subsequent sale to Golden Star Resources and CENIT respectively. He is currently the Private Liquidator for Harborough Limited, a company that held 100% shares in the erstwhile GHL Bank Limited (previously Ghana Home Loans).

In addition to his strong strategic leadership capabilities, he is a hands-on operations and risk management expert. He has extensive experience in providing assurance and advisory services, process reviews, financial reporting, financial due diligence, restructuring and IFRS conversion. Prior to becoming the Senior Partner of KPMG in Ghana, Nii Amanor Dodoo was the Risk Management Partner and Head of Audit Services. He served as engagement partner on a wide range of clients across various sectors in West Africa. Under his stewardship, KPMG experienced remarkable growth in market share, brand recognition, staff and partner numbers. He promoted inclusiveness by increasing the percentage of female partners from 10% to 30%, admitted four partners and made five Associate Directors.

Amanor is recognised widely in Ghana as a seasoned professional and held in high esteem for his relentless focus on quality service delivery, the development of people and talents and his loyalty to serving his country. Amanor also worked with KPMG Professional Services in Nigeria between 2006 and 2010 where he was the Partner in charge of the Energy and Natural Resources and Consumer Markets audit units.
